HW for 9/26
I. Study for "Parts of Speech" quiz on tomorrow. Looking over the 'Identifying' practice exercises in Chapter 21 should be a good review for the quiz.
II. Create your "My Writing Lab" account
- go to mywritinglab.com
- click "Student" under "Register"
- course ID is pyon09392
- click on "Create a Pearson Account"
- fill out the information (write down your username and password!)
- you will need the registration code that came with your book next
III. Our first paragraph that will be for a grade will be a "Narrative" paragraph. This simply means that you will write a paragraph where you will tell a story. Your story needs to be one specific memory - something that happened in one span of time.
In Chapter 3 (pages 26-30), choose one of the pre-writing methods and start planning your Narrative paragraph. Come up with an experience you've had that you may want to write about. Try to choose an experience/memory that has a purpose to it - a lesson to the story, etc.
In class on Thursday, we'll turn your pre-writing into an outline for your Narrative paragraph.
